… AND MY TRAVELS

The family take me on holiday - I’ve been on tear open. One of the big sons has a young
trains and boats, I love the seaside and Collie who sometimes visits, and we are

have, even at 14, been known to break into friends, we sometimes go to the pub
a run on the sand, ok about 100 meters but together and for walks. Dad says I drag him
at least I still have it. to the pub, I don’t, but it makes mum laugh.

I’ve travelled all over the British Isles. I like it I still like my own space, I don’t do sitting
when I sit in the back of mum’s car with the next to people on chairs; we have an
roof down and my ears flapping in the wind, agreement don’t climb in my basket and I
and yes, I have a doggy seatbelt. In Wales won’t climb on your chair, seems to work
last year at Barmouth we met two well enough, I’ve never found mum or dad

Bedlingtons and then when we moved on to in my basket.
Bortha Gest, there on the carpark was a I want to end by thanking all of you
group of friends with several Bedlingtons, wonderful BTRF supporters for the efforts
how popular we are becoming, good to see you put in to keeping BTRF going. If we can
all the young ones. In Cumbria I’ve been out save just a few of my wonderful breed from

walking, only last summer I walked and suffering, what a great job you have done.
hiked five miles through Eskdale and on to
As one elderly statesman of the Bedlington
the top of the Fell, slower than before but
then so are my mum and dad. world at 14 years and 6 months, I simply
wanted you all to know your love and care
Soon we are off to Scotland, I may try and has made a big difference to my life
catch a haggis as I hear they are slow allowing me to spend my twilight years with
creatures, round and plump, with one leg a kind family, rather than ending up having

shorter than the other which helps them to cross the rainbow bridge early because
run around all the hills; my dad enjoys a no one cared enough to sort out my issues.
haggis, so if I get one for him, he will be Please keep up all the fund raising and the
happy and share it with me. good work.

I had a bit of a health scare late 2021 as I Slurps and two step back rubs.
had lots of warts and a lump, and my back
teeth were not good. So off I went to my The Old Grey Dog
nice vets who always gives me treats. I had

the lump and warts removed and the sore Where’s that cucumber ??
back teeth out, so now I have soft treats
     and cucumber which I enjoy.

Every year I’m weighed and get my vaccines
and I’m given the once over, worth it just for
     the treats.

Christmas is a joy, a nice warm wood fire,
family and friends, soft lights plenty of food
and even gifts which I have now learnt to
