Debbie Boyd signed up for the NatWest Do Good Feel Good individual triathlon in
Donegal Square East, Belfast on 17th September. This involved spending an hour
cycling, running and rowing without a break! There was a method in her madness as
she was doing it to raise funds for charity. Every donation helps the two charities
she supports, one of which is BTRF.
Debbie said ‘The Bedlington Terrier Rescue Foundation is a
small UK charity which has been operating for circa
48 years. It is self-funded and operates through a volunteer
network, including reward based trainers and
behaviourists. They have the welfare of Bedlington Terriers
and Bedlington Terrier crosses at the heart of everything
they do and they help rescued dogs find new homes. They
have rehomed over 1000 dogs in the UK, providing support
to new owners (otherwise known as Bedlington
slaves). This charity is close to my heart as I own
seven Bedlington Terriers’.
Natalia ran the Manchester Half Marathon
on 13th October to raise funds for BTRF
and our foster dogs. It only took her
rd
2hours and 16mins – her 3 fastest time.

‘Thank you everyone. I can
honestly say when I hit that “wall”
it was the dogs that got me
through it! And then I saw a
beddie at the very end!!!!!!
